When do I sign up for a dining plan?
Unlimited Meal Plan: Unlimited meals per week in the Dining Commons plus $50 in Mustang Bucks to use at Mustang Market or in Retail in the dining commons.
I live on campus. Do I need a meal plan?
All students residing on campus must have a meal plan.
I live off campus as a commuter student or Faculty/Staff. Can I have a meal plan?
Absolutely! You may purchase a block of meals with a voluntary plan or add Flex Dollars to your card to use in the dining hall, as well as all retail locations and on our dining app, “Everyday"
How do I purchase a meal plan?
Students living on campus select their meal plan as part of the housing selection process each academic year. Students living off campus can purchase a plan on our website: https://shop-cmcc.sodexomyway.com/dining-plans
How soon after signing up for a meal plan am I able to use my card?
When purchasing a voluntary meal plan or Dining Dollars, funds will be loaded within 24 hours of purchase. Meal plans for campuses with resident students are active on the first day of classes for most students.
Can I change my meal plan if it doesn't fit my needs?
Yes! Changing to a bigger or smaller meal plan for residential students can be done during the first 2 weeks of the semester. Please see the Dining Services main office in the dining commons for details.
When do meal plans expire?
If your campus has Residential Mandatory Meal Plans, they expire on the last day of the academic year. The Flex dollars that come with these meal plans roll over from Fall semester to Spring semester but expire at the end of the Spring semester. Voluntary Meal Plans and Dining Dollars carry over from year to year as long as you are active on the Central Maine Community College campus.
What is the difference betreen "Dining Dollars" and "Flex Dollars"? Do they expire?
Dining Dollars is a set amount of dollars that come with your residential meal plan and can be used for food purchases in retail locations and on the Everyday dining app. Flex Dollars may be purchased any time of the year through https://shop-cmcc.sodexomyway.com/dining-plans and can be used at Mustang Market. Your flex dollars and dining dollars will debit as you use them. Any remaining balance from a residential meal plan will roll over from fall to spring but will expire at the end of spring semester. Flex money purchased with voluntary block plans will roll over from semester to semester. Flex Dollars debits as you use it, but balances remain on your account as long as you're an enrolled student.
I am a parent, family member, or friend of a student. Can I add cash to a students account?
You can purchase more flex dollars online at https://shop-cmcc.sodexomyway.com/dining-plans. You will need your students ID number to complete the transaction.
I am only on campus a few times per week. A meal plan is more than I need, are their other options?
Block plans re structured as a block of meals to be used at your convenience throughout the semester. if you run out of meals on a block plan, you can always add another block of meals.
Is there a dining mobile app?
Yes! the "everyday" app is available and has features and functionalities designed to make mobile dining easy, safe and convenient. I have specific eating requirements. I am a vegetarian or vega, have food sensitivities and/or allergies. Do you have options for me?
Yes! We have many plant-based menu options, and we add more recipes every semester. There is a dedicated area I the dining hall with a gluten-free fridge stocked for our guests, as well as a dedicated microwave and toaster. Communication is the key to addressing food allergies and dietary needs. Prior to or immediately upon arrival to campus, please inform our General Manager, Christopher Gill (Christopher.Gill@sodexo.com) so he can advise you on how to navigate the dining hall safely. We also have a Dietitian, Chelsea Champagne (Chelsea.Champagne@sodexo.com) available, who provides individual consultations and can create a dining plan that works for you.
Can I buy a birthday cake or gift for my roommate/friend. Can I send a care package to a student on campus?
Yes, you can! We offer sweet treats, snack packs, gift packages and care packages, as well as other items for many occasions on our website.
Can a meal be provided to a group of students for a special event?
